Is the use of ICTs in the classroom important?

Of course yes, through ICTs students can learn in a distinct way, interact and do different homework depending on the subjects. Nowadays, they are useful for teachers to develop their attractive classes because it is easier to teach with a computer or other audiovisual devices to catch their attention.

In the first place, the use of these technological tools allows students to support their classes to make them more dynamic and the knowledge easily acquired. For example, when they have to give a subject presentation, they use notebooks, overhead projector, pendrive and loudspeakers. However, another advantage about this topic is motivation, pupils listen to music or audios, download YouTube videos, search information in educational websites or make use of Microsoft and Google applications to carry out their practice works.

On the other hand, these devices have disadvantages in the classroom, too. There is not WiFi connection, for this reason teachers and students cannot surf the web to visit web pages, watch videos online, do video conferencing, access social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etcetera. Furthermore, many of the students do not have gadgets or they do not know how to use them, as well as some teachers do not want to use them.

In spite of some obstacles, it is important the implementation of ICTs in the classroom because they help students to put in practice their creativity and ability, the learning seems to be more meaningful. It is clear that the objectives are to fix the contents to facilitate their comprehension when knowledge are evaluated and obviously the handling of technological tools and their applications.
