Notebook
as a valuable learning tool
Only
twenty years ago, the most important elements in the classroom were books but
in the last five years computers have been rapidly introduced into the
educational field. The presence of notebooks in modern schools is increasing
day by day. But does the use of computers in the classroom brings certain
easiness for teachers and students or not?
Nowadays,
most teachers and students have replaced paper for computer because this allows
them to do homeworks more easily and quickly. Computers contain educational
software designed to do activities without using blackboard or chalk. Apart
from that, various scientific studies proved the cerebral activity increased in
sixty percent by using notebooks to do exercises in subjects such as Chemistry
and Mathematics. Another significant point is the small size of notebooks which
allows anybody to carry them with no effort in a bag.
However,
a main disadvantage of notebooks is directly related with limited teachers
training. Despite of this circumstances, teachers are disposed to implement
computers as a innovative learning tool but they do not know how to use the
different programs in order to change the typical classes. Because of the lack
of economical investment from the government. Another aspect to take into
account is how easily kids distract during the class due to absence of
teachers’ control when students do their activities. Principally, they tend
to enter many websites and for instance
play online games or access to social networks.
Lastly,
these days the advance of mobile device: notebook is noticeable. Computers are
one of the most used technological devices all over the world. Nevertheless, no
one can ignore their positive and negative effects of notebooks in the process
of teaching and learning. By using computers teachers put into students’ hands
the possibility to access to a new world and prepare them to live in it.
Obviously, the implementation of technology in the classroom requires constant
investment.

these days the advance of mobile device: notebook is noticeable..???? IS IT CORRECT? I think you made a mistake here. the sentence doesn´t make sense for me.
ReplyDeleteI like this but I think that -in your against paragraph- 'economical investment' is wrong, "economic investment" sounds better. And here "...how easily kids distract during the class..." Maybe "distrat themselves". Like this, it just sound rare to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I believe that here "... they tend to enter many websites..." maybe "to enter" is not the correct verb, it should be 'surfing'.
XOXO

Deletehello Andrea, thanks for your suggestions. We will take into account. We think that it should be " surfing" instead of "enter". We did´t realize of that mistake until now. But why do you say it shoulb be "economic investment" instead of "economical investment"? You can explain us, please.
